The QA Team (if there is one), or the development team will be in charge of ensuring that all the artifacts that pertain to this code release are functional and free of defects, with no deficiency in any of the steps covered earlier in this document.

QA is the final gateway before the developed product goes to the End User or Consumer. QA will be in charge of validating the Traceability matrix and ensuring that every single requirement has been matched with an implemented feature set in the application’s functionality. QA will also validate that the Deployment Scripts and documentation are intact by performing the actual deployment process from the development environment to the QA / Testing environment. Upon successful validation of the build, the QA Team or the application Test Team will pass on the application to the business analysts and business users for functionality validation and user acceptance testing.
