Scoping - Elaboration
Understanding the existing implementation
and scoping out the transition / change required to meet that need.
Scoping is the phase that enables IT and the Business to determine how much work is needed, and
based on that, resource planning can be done to carve out both a project plan and an Estimated
delivery date. This activity will usually require the Customer, Business Analysts and System
Analysts along with the Project Management Team to get together and define the plan of execution.
